Job Summary
The CHRT communications team manages internal communication for the center, such as managing CHRT's website and newsletter and ensuring research is disseminated to appropriate stakeholders. In addition, the team is responsible for numerous grant-funded communications projects with public and private partners. These projects often aim to educate community members about health resources available to them.
The Communications Program Manager will be responsible, under general supervision, for management and completion of project deliverables on a variety of topics. Projects include educational presentations, email campaigns, social media campaigns, one pager development, impact reports, flyers, and more.
The ideal candidate will have a background in public health and communication and understand trends related to tropics such as health equity, behavioral health, community care hubs, and maternal health. The candidate is expected to develop foundational knowledge of project-specific topics, seek guidance from senior team members, and actively learn the principles of project management.

Responsibilities*
Key responsibilities include serving as the primary point of contact for clients, project partners and other stakeholders. The role involves overseeing projects from development through launch, as well as managing feedback processes with staff and partners.
The position supports the director of communications and may manage interns to ensure project goals are met through effective coordination, tracking, resource management, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving efforts.

For larger meetings, additional rooms at Arbor Lakes buildings 1-3 can be reserved to accommodate bigger groups comfortably.
Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
