Are you looking for an internship where you can make meaningful contributions while learning a lot and havingfun? At Daylight Solutions you'll get to work on projects that impact the business. You'll gain exposure to how areal engineering team works, from sprint planning to shipping code and be mentored by experienced engineersfrom all backgrounds. - Serve as a laser and optical engineer for systems ranging from early concepts to product prototypes to initial production units
- Use optical instrumentation and metrology to enable data-driven decisions
- Contribute to the design, build, and test of novel laser cavities and laser-based systems
- Develop detailed alignment procedures and create robotic scripts to automate alignment of laser systems
- Hands-on experience in the development, prototyping, testing of complex Software/Optical/Mechanical systems
- Use Zemax to design and tolerance laser and optical systems
- Work closely with and assist engineers in the conduct of various engineering assignments
- Conduct risk-reduction and process development experiments
- Maintain and work to a 2-week task schedule
- Conduct design analysis and calculations using Zemax, Python, MATLAB, or Excel
- High school diploma or GED
- Engineering student; some progress towards engineering degree
- Must have good interpersonal skills and have the ability to build a good network
- Must be diligent, hardworking, and quick to learn

The pay scale for this position is $21.43/hour - $30/hour. The pay scale information is a general guideline only.
