Essential Functions
- Assists in establishing and maintaining efficient office systems and procedures.
- Provides direct clerical support to the dean, associate dean, assistant dean, other administrators, and faculty as requested.
- Inputs and manages data accurately, generates reports using Fordham database systems and software, and assists in organizing and maintaining documents and records, including proper formatting for memos, letters, and others.
- Assists with developing, organizing, and maintaining school-related official forms and documents.
- Disseminates printed and electronic materials with complete information upon request from administrators and faculty in a prompt and timely manner.
- Responds to faculty and administrator communications and requests in a timely manner.
- Assists with copying, faxing, filing, and document preparation, such as handouts and course materials.
- Provides logistical support as needed for events, meetings, activities, lectures, social gatherings, and ceremonies.
- Maintains up-to-date school/division calendars and checklists of important dates, meetings, and events.
- Ensures confidentiality and security of confidential records/information.

Management Responsibilities
Guides work of other employees who perform essentially the same work and/or student workers. Organizes, sets priorities, schedules and reviews work, but is generally not responsible for final decisions in hiring, performance management or compensation.
Required Qualifications: Education and Experience
- High School diploma equivalent required.
- Minimum 3 years of clerical/office experience.
Required Qualifications: Knowledge and Skills
- Proficiency with software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google spreadsheets, etc.
- Demonstrated organizational skills, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize responsibilities.
- Possess clear and effective communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a complex environment.
- Possess integrity, strong ethical standards, and ability to problem-solve.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-service orientation.
- Mandatory Competency Testing.
- Successful candidates should have a knowledge of and commitment to the goals of Jesuit Education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Prior experience in higher education/educational institutions preferred.
