Job Description:
The Film Department of SUNY Westchester Community College seeks Adjunct Faculty for cinema studies courses. Responsibilities of the incumbent include:
- Prepare and deliver instruction in introductory film analysis courses to a diverse student body, using departmental textbook on film language;
- Provide regular and timely feedback to students and utilize innovative classroom instruction to promote student success;
- Actively participate in all Departmental assessments and classroom management requirements.
Morning, afternoon and evening teaching assignments may be offered on weekdays and/or weekends, on the main campus or at extension sites throughout Westchester.
Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate must have a Master's Degree in Film or a closely related field and a minimum of one year's experience teaching cinema studies at the advanced high school or college level.
Additional Information:
SALARY & BENEFITS: $82.57 per hour. No benefits.
POSITION EFFECTIVE: Spring 2025
