Adjunct Faculty - Director of the Handbell Choir

Position Description

The Department of Performance Studies at Rider University seeks an adjunct instructor – Director of the Handbell Choir – for the Fall Semester, 2024, beginning Thursday, September 5. 

Position Requirements

  • Master of Music Degree
  • Demonstrated experience in:
      • Advanced ringing skills;
      • Recruiting, selecting and teaching a handbell choir;
      • Working with an extended range of handbells (7 Octaves) and Choirchime Instruments;
      • Choosing appropriate and diverse repertoire;
      • Handbell assignments using an extended range of instruments; 
      • Care and maintenance of handbell instruments; and 
      • Maintaining a handbell music library

     

 
The candidate should be active in the Handbell community.

For the first year, no touring or traveling will be required.
