The Department of Developmental Biology encompasses the clinical specialties of pediatric dentistry and orthodontics, as well as scientists focused on basic research. Members of the department teach and mentor postdoctoral fellows, orthodontics fellows, pediatric dental residents, students enrolled in the DMD program, MD and PhD candidates at Harvard Medical School, and undergraduate students at Harvard University. The Division of Orthodontics in the Department of Developmental Biology at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine invites applications for a full-time Assistant or Associate Professor position. Academic rank at the Assistant or Associate Professor and salary will commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications. Successful candidates should have a strong record and future promise in teaching and scholarship in Orthodontics and be able to join a vibrant program recognized nationally and internationally for educating leaders in patient care, research and service. Activities will include clinical and didactic teaching in both pre- and postdoctoral education programs; participation in ongoing national and international continuing education programs; scholarly activities, and service to the university and community. The position also includes research and/or clinical responsibilities, based on level of interest.
Basic Qualifications	The successful candidate must hold a dental degree (DMD or DDS) from a CODA accredited dental school or equivalent and Advanced Graduate Training in Orthodontics. Prior academic experience is required including participation in research and scholarly activities.
Additional Qualifications	Full Certification by the American Board of Orthodontics is preferred but not required. Demonstrated ability to obtain research funding is required and individuals with current research funding and a PhD training will be given priority. Prior academic experience of at least three years is preferred.
