Patient Care Technical Associate (TEMP)

Job Description

Responsibilities*

Provide direct patient care under direct supervision of a RN or other designated official performing delegated procedures of a specialized and technical nature. Assist with more complex procedures and perform more complex diagnostic testing.  Completing required checklists and answering patient calls lights. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications*

High school diploma, GED or equivalent, ability to read and write, and one of the following:

Desired Qualifications*

Completion of a Certified Nurse Aide or Certified Medical Assistant program; basic computer skills; course work in an Allied Health field.

Flexible/On-call basis

Modes of Work

Additional Information

This job posting is for a University of Michigan Temporary position. Temporary employment may be full or part time, but in either case is limited in duration. Please review the full posting description for details. This is a rotating position, up to 40 hrs per week depending on unit need. Must be able to commit to working at least 24 hours in the 4 week nursing schedule.
