Temporary assistant to accept and plate aerobic/anaerobic cultures, fecals, fungal cultures, blood cultures, send outs, serology testing and PCR. Sub organims for QC, lab maintenance and LIS reporting. Will provide support during the week and weekends for continunity of service.

Minimum Experience/Education
Foundational microbiology coursework, Clinical microbiology laboratory experience to include plating of cultures, parasitology, mycology, staining, rapid tests, media preparation, molecular extractions, and serology.
Department Required Skills
Familiarity with microbial identification and sensitivity software and Ochard LIS system; Ability to explain procedures and deliver results with faculty, staff, students and external users of the lab.
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
-BS degreee in science field to include microbiology coursework or equivalent experience; veterinary microbiology experience to include traditional and molecular methods.
