Responsibilities*
The Bohnert Lab within Michigan Medicine Department of Anesthesiology, is looking for a Project Manager Sr. with extensive experience managing research projects.
Duties of the position are:
Supervision: supervise study coordinators and project managers who lead a variety of complex research projects and who supervise other employees. Supervise clinical research therapists (individuals with clinical expertise to fulfill manualized therapy) for intervention adherence and clinical licensure. Provide suicide risk management across all projects. Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, conducting annual reviews, recommendations for promotions, handling complaints, grievances, and discipline concerns. Support staff on their career development and provides mentorship to supervisees and external employees. Implements diverse, equitable and inclusive human resource management consistently across a large lab of 15+ employees. Lead team meetings, funding meetings, collaborator meetings, etc.
Reports/Writing/Presentations: assist principal investigator in submitting new proposals, write progress reports, prepare manuscripts or abstracts for submission to journals and conferences. Lead meetings with internal team, external vendors, and sponsors to provide program updates and network on collaborations. Contributes knowledge to new proposal submission and intervention development. Develops Motivational Interviewing trainings to community groups and leads trainings or presentations (for up to 100 participants).
Regulatory: oversee the regulatory for multiple projects and ensure adherence to approved protocols. Coordinate with supervisees on all project objectives and monitoring of study progress. Works with institutional review boards and compliance.
Budget: create budgets and budget justification narratives for new grant proposals and ensure adequate support for the project needs. Monitor budgets post-award: track non-personnel expenditures, track staff effort, and anticipate upcoming changes. Work with necessary vendors and consultants to establish contracts to fulfill project deliverables.

Background Screening
