Job Summary

The Institute for Research on Innovation and Science (IRIS) in the Survey Research Center at the University of Michigan's Institute for Social Research is looking for a Data Analyst to join the IRIS Data Team.

You will report to the IRIS Lead Programmer, and your primary responsibilities will be data development, analysis, and visualization. You will bring hands-on technical experience to our team.

Responsibilities*

You'll collaborate with team members to design, write, review and troubleshoot/revise SQL and Python programs and processes to import, test, clean and link data for recurrent use in production and research reports (50%).

You'll design/write SQL, Python programs, and Tableau dashboards to implement, test, and evaluate new visualizations and metrics for production and research reports (30%).

You'll engage in continuous quality improvement activities to enhance data integrity (10%).

You'll provide documentation and support to the data team and technical director and in response to ad hoc requests or new projects (10%).

Work Locations

IRIS offers an optional flexible hybrid work schedule with supervisor approval (2 days in the office, 3 days at home).
