Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Radiology IT Director, the Senior System Business Analyst for the Enterprise Imaging AI program performs duties designed to maximize the utilization of AI across Michigan Medicine's Enterprise Imaging applications. This position involves the implementation and management of AI applications and algorithms, with an emphasis on data analytics and monitoring algorithm performance.
The successful candidate will participate in the development and expansion of the Enterprise Imaging AI program. They will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing AI algorithm performance, performing statistical analysis of algorithm performance and drift, and ensuring long-term reliability. Additionally, the candidate will update and enhance existing UM-GPT models used for Enterprise Imaging support and monitor and track the ROI of in-house and vendor provided AI applications to ensure they deliver value to the organization. This role involves assisting in the evaluation and testing of new and emerging AI technologies and algorithms, assessing their functionality and potential to replace older, less efficient systems.
The candidate will actively contribute as a team member of the Radiology IT Data Delivery team, assisting in fulfilling research and administrative data requests, particularly those related to AI. They will work closely with other IT personnel, PACS personnel, Clinical Department Managers, Researchers and Radiologists to identify and meet data needs, ensuring the proper operation and integration of AI algorithms and applications within clinical, educational and research workflows.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in data analytics, a strong understanding of enterprise imaging systems and radiology workflows, and excellent problem-solving skills. Effective communication skills are essential for interacting with various stakeholders, including IT personnel, clinical staff, and department managers. Preferred skills include experience with generative AI models and their applications in healthcare, knowledge of PACS and radiology information systems, and familiarity with data governance and compliance in a healthcare setting.

This position is being offered as a Hybrid position. There will be times that it will be appropriate for you to work from home. There will be other times that you will be required to work onsite for meetings, training, implementation go-lives, etc. May require working during non-business hours and on weekends. On-Call rotation may be required for this position.
