Job Description

The University of Notre Dame Operations, Events, and Safety division is currently hiring for the position of Assistant Operations Manager at The Morris Inn. The University Operations, Events, and Safety division leads the University’s event management, hospitality, and customer service functions while supporting student life, academic endeavors, and research initiatives.

Why this position?
This position assists other leadership positions in planning, organizing, evaluating and supervising the daily hotel room operations. Daily operations include but are not limited to: assisting guests and team members with arrival, departure, stayover, and other services within the Morris Inn & McKenna Hall. The Assistant Operations Manager is present in the guest and employee areas, leading their team(s) with action and clear communication to deliver Four Diamond level service, ensuring that all guest expectations are anticipated and exceeded. To be successful in this role, there are a few critical core competencies required: professional communication and appearance, active listening, ability to offer constructive feedback and problem solving skills, an abundance mindset, a desire to have joy and excellence in everything you do while enforcing and contributing to a respectful workplace environment.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED and 3 to 4 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications

Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong working knowledge of computers. Strong organizational skills. Excellent teamwork skills, punctuality, dependability.

Special Instructions to Applicants

Must be able to stand for majority of scheduled shift, lift 30lbs or greater.
