Essential Job Duties
In this role, you will engage in collaborative and communicative working relationships with the program coordinators and faculty within their portfolio of programs. In order to be successful, you should have an understanding of NC State’s financial management systems and processes and knowledge of state travel policy concerning program operations. Furthermore, you will need to maintain working relationships with counterparts in the Controller’s Office toward understanding changes in the travel policy and effectively communicating these policies to faculty and program coordinators.
- Contribute to the annual Faculty Director Finance training sessions, which educate our faculty on budgeting, reimbursement policy, and their responsibilities once the program has concluded.
- In addition to maintaining program portfolios, this position will also maintain office responsibilities such as managing the office LAN Tech requirements, payment gateway oversight, and study abroad fee enforcement.
- It is important that you be open to serving on office working groups, as needed, and assist with other duties as assigned.

- This position must be accurate and proficient in organization skills, data entry, accounting functions, and time management.
- Display excellent communication skills, as well as a high level of professionalism and cultural sensitivity in dealing with students, faculty, and university staff.
- Be adaptable in a dynamic work environment.
- Have the ability to collaborate with campus stakeholders and utilize flexibility while problem-solving unique financial aspects of Study Abroad processes.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working within university accounting.
- Presentation experience.
- Competence working with PeopleSoft, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Gmail and other Google platforms.
- Demonstrated experience working in a team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated effective problem solving and decision making strategies.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Required License or Certification
Valid NC Driver's License required
