The Department of Psychology in the College of Liberal Arts invites applications for a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor position.

The Department of Psychology at Jackson State University is a unit of the School of Social and Behavioral Science in the College of Liberal Arts. The Department of Psychology is committed to enhancing knowledge of psychological principles and practices through scholarship, research, undergraduate service-learning, and graduate clinical training. We currently offer two degree programs: a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in psychology and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology (APA accredited).

Must have a Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program.

Must be licensed or license-eligible according to criteria established by the Mississippi Board of
Psychology. Licensed eligible applicants must obtain a license to practice psychology within 2 years or less from the date of hire

Must demonstrate the capacity to sustain a productive research agenda that integrates science with practice.
