If so, we're looking for someone like you to join our team at APL!

The Experimental & Computational Physics group is seeking new graduates at the undergraduate and graduate levels to join our team. You will work with a growing, multidisciplinary team of theorists and experimentalists to solve mission relevant challenges.

 


Qualifications

You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Have a strong desire to work in a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary, applied science environment.
  • Are able to acquire an Interim Secret level security clearance by your start date and can ultimately acquire a TS/SCI + Poly security clearance. If selected, you will be subjected to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

You'll go above and beyond our minimum requirements if you...

  • Hold a Master's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Have data analysis, physics simulation, or other coding experience.
  • Have experience working in a laboratory setting and performing research involving electronics, lasers, cryogenics, RF devices, quantum information, microelectronics, fiber optics, or materials science.
  • Hold an active TS/SCI + Poly security clearance.
