Kyn Therapeutics, an emerging leader in cancer and cancer immuno-therapy, is seeking a highly talented, diversely experienced and motivated senior pharmacologist / in vivo biologist to join an innovative, scientifically rigorous and fast paced team focused on developing breakthrough cancer therapies. The successful candidate will bring a sense of urgency and commitment to help Kyn Therapeutics reach its potential and deliver novel therapeutics to patients.

Description and Accountabilities:

  • Contribute to the research strategy and goals of studies for Kyn’s early and advanced programs

  • Contribute to experimental design and hands-on implementation of immunology/oncology in vivo studies and ex vivo mechanism of action studies that are critical to advancing the pipeline

  • Oversee research activities for Kyn with external research organizations (CROs)

  • Collaborate with Translational Medicine to support biomarker and indication selection strategies

  • Help build the scientific reputation to the outside community with conference presentations and publications


  • PhD in relevant field of biomedical research (or commensurate industry experience)

  • Post-doctoral experience revealing initiative, in-depth scientific knowledge, leadership and exceptional productivity; 2-5 years of industry drug discovery experience

  • Experience in immuno-oncology is a plus

  • Skilled in vivo biologist with experience designing and hands-on implementation of animal studies to address key project goals

  • Strong track record in oncology or immunology and deep knowledge of multiple fields of biology, reflected in multiple successful projects and publications

  • A senior researcher with a desire to translate basic research into new medicines

  • Skilled laboratory scientist with a range of relevant biomedical technologies, to address mechanism of action studies in vivo oncology model systems and ex vivo studies

  • Exceptional analytical and strategic abilities

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
