Postdoctoral Research Associate - Physics
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The department of Physics in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Iowa State University is seeking candidates for a Postdoctoral Research Associate. The candidate will conduct research in nuclear theory broadly defined. Candidates with interest in one or more of the following areas are encouraged to apply : QCD and strong interaction physics, effective field theory, QCD phase diagram, heavy ion physics, nuclear astrophysics, lattice gauge theory. This is a one year term initially with the possibility to renew. All accrued vacation must be used during term of appointment or will be forfeited.
The candidate should submit a CV, a publication list, a cover letter and a statement of research interest as well as arrange for three letters of recommendation to be submitted by December 15 in order to receive full consideration.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
PhD in Physics obtained prior to appointment date.
