Coordinator of Neeley Analytics Camp-Temporary

Job Description

The highly motivated and experienced Coordinator will oversee the 2023 TCU Neeley Analytics Academy, a one-week summer residential program for high school students entering 11th or 12th grade. The coordinator will be responsible for organizing and managing the day-to-day activities of the program. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and inspiring young people to explore the world of data analytics and technology.

Duties & Essential Job Functions:

1. Leads summer Analytics academy camp in 2023
2. Handles associated tasks such as escorting students to various activities including meals
3. Organizes check-ins, ice breaker activities, and farewell lunch
4. Gathers applications and other forms from potential and accepted students
5. Handles email queries
6. Sets up contracts
7. Manages camp budget and expenses, including purchasing necessary supplies and materials
8. Maintains a safe and healthy learning environment for all campers
9. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Post-secondary education
  • Prior experience working at a summer camp
  • Experience working with high school students

  • None

  • None

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of good business judgement, analytical and decision making techniques.
  • Skill in the use of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Skill in the navigation of social media strategies and marketing tools such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and similar social media platforms.
  • Skill in organization and project management and be able to operate and manage in a business environment while making appropriate decisions.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks adjusting priorities and completion times as necessary.
  • Ability to act professionally in dealing with different individuals from parents to students.
  • Ability to work independently as well as on a team.
  • Ability to work with a minimum of supervision.

Physical Requirements (With or Without Accommodations):

  • Visual acuity to read information from computer screens, forms and other printed materials and information.
  • Able to speak (enunciate) clearly in conversation and general communication.
  • Hearing ability for verbal communication/conversation/responses via telephone, telephone systems, and face-to-face interactions.
  • Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing and reaching, flexibility, body movement for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling and prolonged sitting.
  • Lifting and moving objects and equipment up to 10 lbs.

Work Environment:

  • Work may be indoors or outdoors and is subject to schedule changes and/or variable work hours.
  • This role is an on-campus, in-person position.
  • There are no harmful environmental conditions present for this job.
  • The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate.
